Who we are
This website, golfbranding.golf, is run by Golf Branding HK (VAT FI26495128), a business based in Finland. We are the controller of the personal data described here, which means we decide why and how it is used. You can reach us at henri@golfbranding.golf.What we collect and why
Enquiries. When you write to us, for example to ask about a project or to reserve a Trend Report, we receive your email address, your name and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it to reply and to deliver what you asked for. We keep it while the conversation or the working relationship lasts and for a reasonable time afterwards, then delete it.Newsletter. If you subscribe to Filtered, we collect your email address, and your name if the form asks for it, so we can send you the newsletter. We rely on your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every issue.Website visits. When you visit, we receive technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and the page that sent you here. Squarespace, which hosts the site, collects it to run and secure the site and to give us visitor statistics. If you accept analytics cookies, analytics tools may also measure how the site is used. We use this to see which pages are useful and to improve them.Advertising. If you accept marketing cookies, pixels from Meta and LinkedIn may recognise your browser, so we can measure our advertising and show our content to people who have visited the site. The cookie policy lists them.Embedded content. Some pages may show content from Instagram, YouTube or Spotify. When it loads, the provider can receive your IP address and set its own cookies. Their privacy policies cover what they collect.Social media. If you message us or comment on our Instagram or LinkedIn accounts, those platforms process your data under their own policies. We see only what you send us.Our legal bases
We use your data on three bases. Consent covers the newsletter and any cookies that are not strictly necessary, and you can withdraw it at any time. Legitimate interest covers replying to enquiries, running and securing the site, and keeping basic business records, and we weigh it against your rights each time. Taking steps at your request covers delivering something you ask us for, such as a report. Where the law requires us to keep records, such as accounting records, we follow that law.Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We share it with service providers who help us run the site and the business and may only use it on our instructions. These are Squarespace for hosting, forms and analytics, Substack and Squarespace for the newsletter, our email provider, and, if you accept the relevant cookies, Google, Meta and LinkedIn for analytics and advertising measurement. We may also disclose data when the law requires it.Transfers outside the EU and EEA
Several of these providers are based in the United States. When your data leaves the EU or EEA, we rely on safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission standard contractual clauses.How long we keep data
Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe. Enquiries are kept as described above. Cookie and analytics data follow the lifetimes in the cookie policy. Accounting records are kept for as long as Finnish law requires.Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our use of it, ask for it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to henri@golfbranding.golf and we will reply within one month.Complaints
If you think we have handled your data badly, tell us first so we can fix it. You can also complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi) or to the data protection authority in your own country.Children
This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.Changes
